Belgian payment reality is simple: you deposit with Bancontact or Bancontact Pay, and what comes out lands on your account. The app once named Payconiq by Bancontact has carried the name Bancontact Pay since March 2026. Bancontact is tied to virtually every Belgian debit card, the floor most often being €5.
Bancontact Pay limits to €1500 per operation and €2500 per 24 hours. What you deposit is there right away; withdrawing takes as a rule one to three banking days, and the operator adds its own check on top.
From signup to first payout
